One of my favorite FREE things to do at Walt Disney World is to find Hidden Mickeys. A Hidden Mickey is a representation of Mickey Mouse that has been inserted subtly into the design of a ride, attraction, or other location in a Disney theme park, Disney properties, movie or other Disney product. The most common Hidden Mickey is a formation of three circles that may be perceived as the silhouette of the head and ears of Mickey Mouse, often referred to by Disney aficionados as a “Classic Mickey”. Make sure you portion out a part of each day to look for these hidden treasures. Here is an example of a hidden Mickey. Do you see Mickey?
Hidden Mickeys range from the very obvious to the very difficult to find. Don’t have a clue as to where to start. Get this book: Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World’s Best Kept Secrets The author (Steven M Barrett) points out some general areas where you will find them. He gives you clues and etiquette too. You can also purchase a kindle edition and have it right on your phone. I highly recommend this book to be put into your park bag.
