While I love all the Disney Halloween specials and movies, Mickey’s House of Villains is one I must watch every year. Mickey is such a lovable character and seeing him a little spooked and fighting the villains is such a treat. In this post, I share what Mickey’s House of Villains is about, which villains you can see, and some other fun facts.
What is Mickey’s Hosue of Villains About?
It is Halloween night at the House of Mouse, and a lot of villains are showing up. Jafar has a trick in store for the usual heroes of the House, but the villains have to wait until midnight for him to carry it out. After a series of shorts, Jafar, along with his new henchmen Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, Ursula, and Hades, take over the house with a musical number “It’s Our House Now!” All the other villains soon join Jafar’s plan.
The heroes, princesses and other characters are trapped in the kitchen while Mickey and several others are thrown out into the street.
Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Minnie try to take their House back, but Chernabog stops them from entering the building. Mickey dresses in his sorcerer outfit and challenges Jafar to a magical duel using fireballs. A battle ensues between the heroes and villains with of course Mickey regaining control of his house.
My Review and Thoughts. This movie is very child-friendly. The shorts are cute and funny, though some of the older ones might be a little boring for small children.
I am able to watch this because I have an original DVD. Sometimes you can catch this on the Disney Channel or Freeform’s Days of Halloween. Hopefully, this will be available on Disney+ when that comes available.
