#SeaworldChristmas Christmas Celebration 2013

Thank you for sharing!

Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to Sea World for review purposes. Regardless, all opinions are my own and truthful.

I had such a great time at the  Sea World Christmas Celebration! If you are in the Orlando area during the Christmas season, it is well worth your time and money to go this is beautiful event. I already talked about the O’ Wondrous Night presentation that is available at the Sea World Christmas Celebration. In this post I am going to talk about some of the other events that take place.

Walking around Sea World is absolutely gorgeous! Every tree seems to be donned with Christmas lights. There is a fire pit to sit by if it happens to be a chilly Florida night. Characters like Shamu and Penguins are available for photo opps. Elves are singing songs and telling stories. You are truly walking in a Winder Wonderland while at Sea World at Christmas time.  Plus, you can buy a refillable hot cocoa mug and get refills for just 99¢!

Winter Wonderland on Ice is an amazing ice skating show! My favorite songs were ones used from Polar Express. The Hot Chocolate song performance blew me away. It was so well done! The skaters were very talented. It is not just the skating though that makes this show spectacular. The show takes place on the bayside stage which is right in front of Sea World’s Sea of Trees. The trees reflect on the water and makes a beautiful backdrop. Plus, the trees change color in rhythm to the music or to match the mood of the song that is being skated to.

After the Winter Wonderland on Ice show there is a fireworks show. Though I am a huge Disney fireworks show fan, this experience I enjoyed so much better. Most of the fireworks at Disney tell a story so they are slower and go off a few at a time. Sea World’s Christmas fireworks are timed to the music. I thought they were just awesome. The show combined the lighted trees, colored fountains, and fireworks to create a beyond words light-o-rama display. To me the price of admission would be worth it just to see the fireworks.

Sadly, I was not able to catch the Shamu Christmas Miracles show. The shows were too closely timed together. This could of been because it was the first night of the event. I was very disappointed. Hopefully, you will be able to catch all the shows when you go. I am sure the Shamu Christmas Miracles show was spectacular.

A special thanks to my friend Christa for taking the beautiful pictures you see in this post. She is the owner of A Moment in Time Photography. If you are in the Tampa Bay area, you should book her for photo sessions.
