The Old Fashioned book is the novelization of the great movie Old Fashioned. This is an amazing story of a man who others regard as old fashioned when it comes to sexual immorality. It is also a love story between Clay and Amber.
The book is very well written, but starts off the same way as the movie– very slow. I like that the book gives you some extra insight into what the characters are thinking and more into the back story of Clay and Amber. If you love the movie you will love the book. The author was able to make both the characters very real and broken in way that we can understand because in some way all of us are broken when it comes to relationships.
Though I tried getting my husband to read this book, he wouldn’t. I am so glad he watched the movie though. This story is one that is great for both men and women.
If you really enjoy the story is there is a devotional as well. I couldn’t quite get into it. I think though it is because it is geared for singles. The devotional is The Old Fashioned Way: Reclaiming the Lost Art of Romance.
