Muppet’s Most Wanted Movie Review

Thank you for sharing!

The Muppets had a great comeback in 2011 and Disney decided it needed a sequel. While I loved The Muppets, my Muppets Most Wanted review shows why the film fell a little short for me.

Muppet’s Most Wanted Movie Review

Disclaimer: I received complimentary tickets to this movie for review purposes. All opinions expressed are my own.

A Monster’s University short starts the film. It is very funny and kids and adults will enjoy it a lot. I give the short 5/5 stars! I think I started laughing in the beginning, continued through the middle, and almost lost it in the end because it is so funny!

The movie starts off exactly where the 2011 Muppets movie left off and I mean exactly. The first movie song is called Sequel and the funniest line in the song, captured my thoughts about the movie “Everyone knows the sequel is never as good as the original”.

Muppets Most Wanted

The premise of the movie is that evil Constantine steals Kermit’s identity and switches places with him. You feel for Kermit as he misses the gang and starts to lose control. Kermit is placed in prison and has to escape to get back with the gang and convince his friends he is the real Kermit.

This movie is filled with “older” jokes and one liners for the adults so this movie isn’t only for the kids.

Muppets Most Wanted is also filled with so many stars. It has Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey and more. One of my favorite parts involves Usher!

I think the biggest thing for me in this movie, it that I have finally figured out who my favorite Muppet is. I was a Muppet Babies fan as a kid, but not really a full-on Muppets fan. I think they are funny enough, but one Muppet didn’t stand out to me. After this movie, I have to say that Animal is my favorite Muppet. Even though you think Animal only cares about his drumming solo, he is loyal and a true pal to Kermit through the entire movie.

My Rating: 3/5 Stars

Not the best Muppets movie out there but if you are a loyal Muppets fan you will love it.

My daughter wants to see this movie. I remember watching the Muppets when I was much younger and Animal was my favorite character because he was so crazy!

My husband and daughter are both huge Muppets fans, so we will probably see this in the theater. I'll admit that I'm most excited about that Monsters University short, though.

I'm so jealous that you've gotten to see it! My kids are too young to sit through a movie in the theater, but I LOVE the Muppets. Ahh, my childhood. :D
