Yummy Mummy Hot Dogs | Halloween Dinner Idea

Thank you for sharing!

Halloween can be such a hectic time. Even without kids my Halloween evening is filled with last minute costume mishaps, including runs to the store for missing items and candy. Take the stress out of planning Halloween dinner with these Mummy Hot dogs! These are very simple to make and since you don’t use a knife to cut, the kids can even help! Mummy Hot dogs

Mummy Hot Dogs

First you roll out the crescent dough on a cookie sheet or a cleaned counter. Using a pizza cutter, cut strips about 1/2 inch wide. You can make them smaller but the dough stretches smaller while wrapping the hot dogs.

Wrap the hot dogs with the crescent rolls. I used peppercorns as eyes. You could forego the peppercorns and just use mustard dots for eyes. precooked-mummy-hotdogs

Ingredients

  • Crescent Rolls
  • Hot Dogs
  • Peppercorns
  • Dip for the mummys (ketchup, mustard)

Instructions

  • Roll out the crescent rolls and using a pizza cutter cut into thin strips. Since you are not using a knife, this is a great way to get the kids involved.
  • Take the strips and wrap your "mummy" (hot dog). I used peppercorns for eyes, but possibilities are endless. Peppercorns are what we had on hand.
  • Bake according crescent package directions.
  • Enjoy!
