“I am a Feld Entertainment Blogger Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with complimentary tickets to Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes and other exclusive opportunities.”
My husband was a bit more excited than I was to go to Marvel Universe Live! I only started watching Marvel movies since Disney acquired them, so I am not a long time fan. I do enjoy shows that Feld Entertainment puts on such as Disney on Ice, so I knew I would enjoy this as well. In this Marvel Universe Live review I will share what I wish i would have known before going to the show and tips for you to enjoy the show better.
Marvel Universe Live Review
The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man join forces with Doctor Strange, master of the mystic arts, in a race against time to recover the Wand of Watoomb before it falls into Loki’s hands in this all-new, spectacular arena stunt show.
Overall, the show is awesome and a must-see for any super-hero loving child. The show is filled with lots of action and adventure. Marvel Universe Live is more than just some cool action fighting, which there is plenty of, it is also filled with beautiful gymnastic routines, hypnotic fire dancers, and dare devil bikers. I was quite impressed with all the different art forms present.
My only disappointment was that Groot was part of the show. I guess he is easier to use use rather than Baby Groot, but I found that odd.
Know Before You Go
I do have a general knowledge of characters in the Marvel Universe, but the show portrayed quite a few that I was not too familiar with such as Electro, Black Cat, Rhino, Iron Fist, and the Wasp. If you don’t know all the characters, it would be good to watch a few more movies or read some of the old comics ahead of time. At the very least make sure you and your kids are familiar with the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy as they are the main characters.
Tips for Enjoying Marvel Universe Live!
- Get Your Tickets Early. The earlier you buy your tickets the better chance you have of getting a great seat.
- Dress Up. Kids can wear costumes and us adults can Disney/Marvel bound our favorite characters.
- Prepare Your Kids for Loud Noises. If you have a child on the autism spectrum and loud noises and bright lights are triggers be cautious going to the show and make necessary precautions. There were a couple times I even closed my eyes because the lasers were flickering a bit too much for me.
