Live Your Life for 1/2 the Price was a very informative reference book on how to live within your means. The author warns that if you already are someone who watches what you spend then you might not find any inspiration in this book, but I disagree. I am a person that loves the game of finding ways to save and I did find a lot of useful information in this book. She did not only discuss the things that most people know about and try to do, such as coupons and sales for your food shopping or eating more at home instead of at fast food. She also discussed clothing, fees, mortgage, cars, travel ,and many other things.
This is right in line with my New Years Resolutions one of which was to save money. After reading this book I think I can do even better than I put in the post. In my post I said I wanted to save $1200 by couponing, but I realize I can do it other ways then just by couponing.
There were things in the book that were just reminders of the things I used to do, but had stopped. One was to use cash more and another was to write down everything I spend. Both of which I have started again.
One of the things I want to look into more is my clothing. I like her idea of know what colors are best for you and also the idea of having a wardrobe plan and sticking to it. You really need to read this section of the book to get the plan.
This book is really a good reference book you can read which ever topic you want by itself without the rest of the book. It does not matter what stage of life you are in this book is for you!
