Who doesn’t love Goofy? Goofy is one of Mickey Mouse’s best friends, is a great Dad, funny, and so lovable! Goofy is also one of the best huggers at Disney World. You can meet Goofy at Disney World in all four parks, visit his candy shop in Disney Springs, and ride one of his rides!
Where to Meet Goofy at Disney World
Finding Goofy Goof (his full name) is quite easy as he hangs out at every park and a few resorts for character dining. Goofy does sign autographs at all the locations you can find him. If you already have his autograph in your book, he will not sign again. This is true for all characters.
Goofy is quite busy at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. You can meet him, ride his ride, see him in the Royal Friendship Faire, and also in Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Character Meet & Greet: You can meet Goofy in his Great Goofini outfit. The backstory to the Barn Stormer roller coaster and his character the Great Goofini is that Goofy discovered an abandoned barn when the circus was in town and he set up a daredevil act. Goofy meets guests in Pete’s Silly Slideshow tent. No Fastpass+ is available. During peak times the line can get around 45 minutes. The wait is indoors. After you meet Goofy, you meet Donald. Pluto and Daisy are in a separate line.
Ride the Barnstormer: The Barnstormer is a junior roller coaster. It is located in the Storybook Circus section of the Magic Kingdom. Riders reach a top speed of 25 miles per hour on the one-minute ride. Guests must be 35″ tall to ride. Fastpass+ is available but can easily be gotten after your first 3 priority Fastpasses have been used.
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire: Goofy is part of Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. He wants to dance and doesn’t think he can. Tiana shows Goody he just has to “dig deeper”.
Festival of Fantasy Parade: You can find Goofy in the parade. He is near the end of the parade and is dressed as a jester. He is not in a float and while not in a dance routine he does interact a little with guests. I have gotten quite a few Goofy parade hugs or high fives.
Character Meet & Greet: Goofy meets with Mickey and Minnie at the Epcot Character Spot. He is in his classic outfit. Fastpass+ is available but it is a Tier 1 choice so I would just use the standby line which is usually under 45 minutes and it is located indoors.
Character Meet & Greet: Goofy meets with guests on Grand Avenue. There is no Fastpass+ available for this experience. The meet and greet is outdoors and he usually only meets with guests in the afternoon. Check the Times Guide or the My Disney Experience App to see when he will be meeting guests.
Hollywood & Vine Holiday Dine: You can find Goofy at Minnie’s Holiday Dine. You will find him dressed for the season you are visiting. During the Christmas season, he is Santa Goofy.
Character Meet & Greet: You can find Goofy in Dinoland. No Fastpass is available. His meet and greet is outdoors but usually is in a shaded area.
Tusker House Character Dining: Goofy joins Donald’s Safari hunt at Animal Kingdom’s Tusker House. This is an African inspired buffet. I think it is one of the best character buffet meals at Disney World.
Chef Mickey’s Character Dining: Oh no, they let Goofy run amuck at Chef Mickey’s! LOL. You will find Goofy at Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort. He is dressed as a Chef.
Beach Club Resort
Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast: You will find Goofy at the Cape May Character breakfast buffet. Goofy is dressed for the beach at this fun breakfast.
Disney’s Swan Resort
Garden Grove Character Dining: You will find Goofy in his traditional outfit at this budget-friendly character dining experience. Sunshine & Munchkins has a Garden Grove review on their blog.
