My husband and I went to Disney on Valentine’s Day. We started our day at Epcot. Since I had already visited Anna and Elsa I decided seeing them again was not worth the super long wait. We did line up to see some other characters though and our waits were not long at all.
First, I took a picture with Pluto. Pluto is so fun to take pics with!! After we said hello and took our pictures, I praised him, saying “You were such a good doggie for taking a picture with me”! He blew me kisses and gave me an extra hug. Such precious memories made.
My second character meeting was with Alice. I had wanted my picture with Alice and the Mad Hatter during MNSSHP but Alice left 1 person before me. 🙁 I had my picture with the Hatter, but missed the opportunity with Alice. Now that I have a picture with Alice. I have had my picture with Alice, the White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts. I am not sure if any other characters from that movie come out to the parks. Alice asked me my name and that started a cute conversation. She said, since your name is April you must like flowers. She then asked me what my favorite is. My favorite flower is a pink carnation. She then said her favorite flower is also Dinah’s favorite flower-daisies! I hope everyone remembers who Dinah is! 🙂
While in France we were able to see Belle (pre-princess). I asked her what invention of her father’s is her favorite. She said that her father is working on something super wonderful and it should win 1st place at the fair!! Belle then described a cell phone. It was so funny!!
Next we had some hilarious fun with Jasmine and Aladdin. The queue while waiting to see Aladdin and Jasmine has some lamps you can try out. My husband and I rubbed but no gene came out 🙁 ! Aladdin and Jasmine are special to me because my first dance at my wedding was A Whole New World. While in line I asked my husband if I should call Aladdin a street rat. I guess I said it too loud because I got chastised by Jasmine! She said he has lived in the palace awhile now and now knows how to behave. Aladdin chips in and starts saying how much he helps around the palace. Plus. I guess Abu is their secretary and writes rather well monkey shorthand. Aladdin kept going on and on about all he does and that he IS not a street rat anymore!!
Then I met up with Duffy Bear!! I was hoping he was going to be dressed for Valentines’s Day, but he was not. That was ok for me though because I didn’t have him in his normal sailor suit yet. I do think that they should change his clothes for Valentines Day and St. Patricks Day. I mean he is a bear that is made to be dressed. I asked Duffy to be my Valentine!
*Edit* Duffy Bear no longer greets guests at Epcot. I am going to miss him.
