If you have the time check out the Vision House at Epcot’s Innoventions East. The tour takes about 20 minutes and is more informative than fun. Little kids might be a little bored at this attraction. The tour is a nice break from the Florida heat since it is inside. I do have to say though, that the tour guide I had is kind of funny. We mentioned to him that he should be a captain on the Jungle Cruise boats and he replied that was his first choice.
The Vision House is a automated green home that showcases some awesome technology. You might think it is the Jetson’s, but most of the products you see are available now. The concept behind VISION House is sustainable living through environmentally friendly building choices. The Vision House is presented by Green Builder Media.
I wish they would of thrown in a little more Disney into the home. I would of expected Disney toys in the kid’s rooms or Disney designs overall. I also kept thinking of the Carousel of Progress and how this be a great added room to show the progress technology has made.
**Fun Tip- There is a Hidden Mickey in the “backyard” area. My husband had luck finding it, but I did not.
The Disney website says you can play a video game with Rounder, the family dog. I guess I missed that game.
So, what did you think about the Vision House? What was the coolest part for you?
