No matter when you take your Disney vacation you can make a DIY Disney Park Map Ornament to remember your trip at Christmas time. This ornament can be as simple or as elaborate as you want and most of the materials for it can be found at the Dollar Tree which is one of my favorite places to find craft items.
I do love buying a Disney ornament while at the parks or from the Disney Store, but there is just something special about a handmade ornament. A park map is extra special because Disney World is ALWAYS changing so what the parks look like today is probably not how they are going to look a few years from now.
DIY Disney Park Map Ornament
I decided to make my ornament very simple, but there are so many variations to this idea that you can do. I will give some suggestions below.
- Disney Park Maps
- Scrapbook Cardstock (Dollar Tree usually has some)
- Glue Stick
- Stencils or Cookie Cutters
- Hole Punch
Select a shape for your ornament and trace both the park map and the cardstock and cut out. Some simple ideas would be a Mickey Head, star-shaped, circle, or heart. You could also freeform draw your shape.
Glue the park map to the cardstock with the glue stick. Be sure to remove any bubbles.
Put a light layer of mod podge on one side. If you put too much on, the other side will bleed through a little bit. Let dry.
Do another layer of mod podge on the other side. Let dry. The mod podge helps preserve the ornament and keeps it waterproof.
Use a hole puncher to punch a hole on top. Use ribbon to make a hanger.
I added 2017 to both sides of my ornament.

Add glitter to the edges.
Do one for each park you visited with the icon for each park as the shape.
