Once upon a time, there was a girl named April…oh wait that’s me! Every day I would dream of magical places. One day I saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when I was a child. The music and the story got to me. One day would I find a prince, does work really go faster if I sing, and do animals really care? Because of that, I became a princess obsessed with everything Disney. Until finally I started a blog to share my fun, frugal adventures as a plus-sized princess! I analyze Disney movies way too much and I am a true believer of the Pixar theory. Magic Kingdom is my playground. Cinderella is my spirit princess and Disneybounding is a way of life, not just a fashion trend!
Life threw me a curve ball and let’s just say, my childhood wasn’t the best. Disney reminds me that even though evil exists in the world there is good as well. I got married in 2006 to my Prince and had a very frugal Cinderella themed wedding and WDW honeymoon.
Finding ways to enjoy Disney on a Budget is a must for me. I stay at home and my husband is an EMT. On Pixie Dust Savings you will find everyday money saving tips, ways to save money at Disney parks, and ways to bring the magic home on a budget. Grab a homemade Dole Whip Float and explore how you can have the vacation of your dreams on a budget you can afford!
I’d also love to introduce you to my friend Julie! Julie started contributing to Pixie Dust Savings in July of 2018.
My motto is “adventure is out there and nothing is impossible”. I love all things Disney, from parks to movies and even running Disney. As a native Floridian, I’ve been lucky to go to Disney from when I was little. When not visiting Disney I love traveling the world and exploring everything around me, even in my hometown.
When anyone asks what my favorite Disney character is I have to say Alice in Wonderland because she goes to new places, meets interesting people and sees that the world isn’t perfect but it can be wonderful. And even though Alice isn’t a Princess she’s got moxie and spirit.
There’s so much to do and see around Walt Disney World and I try to experience something new on every visit. From visiting other small and grown children to girls trips, birthdays, romantic days and going solo I’ve done it all. I’ve even had to do Disney in a wheelchair or using a walker or cane and having to use a DAS pass.
I’ll be sharing my love and experiences of Disney as well as places out and about in Florida. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
I’d also love to introduce you to my friend Claire! Claire started contributing to Pixie Dust Savings in September of 2018.
Hi, I’m Claire, a Disney Parks addict and single mom of 4 based in the UK, who has learnt to do Disney on a tight budget! I’ve been fortunate enough to make repeat trips to Disneyland Paris and Disney World and love to help others plan their trips, I’m part Stitch, most like Ariel & would gladly sing my way through life.
Having just turned 40, I’m now starting to embrace a decluttering lifestyle and planning new paths, you could say I’m overhauling my whole life. I value making memories over material things, exploring new places, great food, a good book and always looking for the next adventure,
