Are you ready to have a great time immersing yourself into the live’s of your favorite Disney characters? You can have some amazing experiences “playing” with the characters at the Magic Kingdom. If you just approach a character with just your Autograph Book and a simple picture pose you are missing out on so much fun. Here are my top Must Do Character Meet & Greets at The Magic Kingdom.

Must Do Character Meet & Greets at The Magic Kingdom
Most of these characters are only found at the Magic Kingdom or I think they have the best meeting place here.
The Tremaine Sisters
The Tremaine’s hang out around Cinderella’s Carousel, they usually ride it before going over to meet guests. This would have to be my favorite character meet and greet. I try to visit them every time I visit the Magic Kingdom. Every interaction will be different. They are hilarious! Ask them questions about Cinderella, finding a boyfriend, the prince, and more. Ask them to sing for you. You can also meet the Tremaine’s at 1900 Park Faire.

Princess Elena of Avalor and Cinderella
Princess Elena and Cinderella both meet in Princess Fairytale Hall. Both princesses are in the same room and you meet one then the other. Cinderella is my favorite Disney Princess and I love meeting her and asking her about her mice friends or if she has lost any shoes recently.
Princess Elena of Avalor is a pretty new addition and she is a Disney Junior princess. While I do not know her story since I don’t watch much Disney Junior, I absolutely love her dress! Princess Elena was welcomed to the Magic Kingdom by Cinderella. She speaks Spanish, so be sure to greet her by saying Hola!

Peter Pan
Peter Pan loves to talk. He is a hoot. I love the things that he says. Ask him about Hook, Tinkerbell, and Wendy. Ask him how to get to Neverland. Peter Pan does meet and greets on the side of the Peter Pan’s Flight building. Most of the waiting area is shaded. Ask a Cast Member when he is scheduled to appear or check the My Disney Experience App.

Other than his scheduled times out, recently I have seen him about just playing around. During this time he does not usually stop for guest photos and does not sign autographs.
- Location: Fantasyland, next to Peter Pan’s Flight

- Does He Sign Autographs? Yes
Gaston
Gaston meets people in front of his tavern. Challenge him physically or tell him you are better than he is.

Rapunzel and Tiana
Rapunzel and Tiana meet guests at Princess Fairytale Hall, they are in the same room but you will take pictures of them individually. I would recommend getting a Fastpass for meeting these 2 princesses if they are on your must-see list. You can also go during fireworks for a lower wait time. Some ideas to spark a conversation with Rapunzel are to ask her where Pascal is, how she takes care of her hair, and mentioning Flynn. If you are a little boy or full grown guy, show her a smolder. She just loves that. My husband’s smolder was broken that day though, LOL. Tiana such a sweet princess to interact with, ask her about her beignets!

Merida
Merida has her own spot and I have learned that if you want to visit with her to get there at her spot early. No FP is available and the line gets long. I asked her about where her brothers are.

- Does She Sign Autographs? Yes
Ariel
Ariel has a dedicated spot at her grotto. You can get a FastPass for meeting Ariel. You can give her a dinglehopper, ask her about thingamabobs, or warn her about Ursula. On my next visit with her, my plan is to ask her how Melody is doing.

- Location: Fantasyland, Ariel’s Grotto
- Fastpass Available? Yes
- Does She Sign Autographs? Yes
Tinker Bell
Tinker Bell’s meeting place is super magical. You get transported by faith and pixie dust to Pixie Hollow. Even though a Fastpass is available, it is rarely needed. There are several cute photo opps in the line once you get into her room as everything is Tink Bell size!

Captain Jack Sparrow

Captain Jack Sparrow used to have a pirate tutorial show but Disney ended that late 2018. A couple weeks later a meet and greet with Jack Sparrow appeared. I am not sure how long it will last but it is an interesting meet and greet, to say the least. He is very true to character, lol!

Special Disney Characters at the Magic Kingdom for 2019
Mickey & Minnie Mouse
To help celebrate Mickey’s birthday, Mickey and Minnie are meeting with guests in their Move It, Shake It, Mousekedance It Street Party outfits. I am in love with the outfits, they are so fun and flirty! The bows and hats are my favorites with a clear design with party confetti inside.
I think this is just for the birthday celebration and then Magician Mickey will be back starting in October 2019.

Special Characters on Main Street
At the flag pole, you can usually find Pluto and Chip & Dale. During the Mickey Mouse celebration, Pluto has moved to Pete’s Silly Sideshow taking over Minnie’s place since Minnie can’t be in two places at one time. As for right now Chip & Dale are not meeting with people but you can find them at the dance party.
The characters below are characters you may see at the flag pole since they are special and/or rare they probably will change a little. Disney does not announce the schedule on this until the day of on the My Disney Experience app. What I have noticed is that the characters meet until 4 or so and then come back out just to play and visit. Most of the characters will autograph.
- Phineas & Ferb
- Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps
- Honest John & Foulfellow
- Remy & Emile
